THE Cebu Elite Football Club added the women’s open title of the Mayor John-John Garcia Futsal Cup to their growing collection after winning the event last Aug. 4, 2024 in Barili.
The Cebu Elite FC went through undefeated in the elimination round, holding UP Cebu to a 1-1 draw before scoring easy wins over Don Bosco Liloan, 2-0, and Guadalupe Carcar Team, 4-1. In the semifinals, Cebu Elite FC scored another 4-1 win over USJ-R, before outlasting the Talisay Razkals, 3-2, in the finals.
It was the team’s third title this year as it also won the Sinulog Cup and the AiA 7s Cebu, while finishing second in the JSM tournament.
