THE young booters of the Lapu-Lapu City Heroes FC took their talents to the 4th City of Naga Football Festival over the weekend and brought home the silver medal in the U6 category over the weekend.

After opening with a draw with the host City of Naga, young Heroes tallied a narrow 2-1 win over Looc FC before another draw with the host City of Naga.
The Lapu-Lapu City Heroes finished with a win, two draws, and a loss after dropping its final game against Looc FC to finish as first runner-up in the double round robin event.
The team, coached by Josh Austin, is composed of Elijah Radleigh Aparece, Jasper Daniel wu, Craig Adam Menguito, Trent Arthur Gala, Brandon Xander Menguit, Khalesse Malingin, Thirdy Dizon, Alexa Mae Tumulak, Eyana Rhaine Brillo, and David Lacar.
Meanwhile, their U12 team, coached by Lopito Tumulak Jr. and Jhon Dave Regner, made it to the quarterfinal round of the annual event.
The Heroes defeated Minglanilla, 1-0, STC, 1-0, and earned draws against City of Danao and San Carlos School of Cebu. Its lone loss in the group stage was against the host City of Naga.
The team, sponsored by Mercato de Mactan, is represented by Mark Daniel Bacla-an, Devin Jasper Gildo, Mcjohnston Singh, Kyle Nakagawa, Asriel Josh Heredia, Zacc Roshan Lomadilla, Rua Hoshino, Toa Hoshino, Prince Emmanuel James Salazar, Spencer Sven Lomadilla, Ysabelle Sulib, Wil Jacob Rom, and Nicolo Eidann A. Cuizon.
The club’s first runner-up finish in the U6 division, is the club’s third silverware in three tournaments in less than four weeks after the Soccer Moms won the VP Visayas Eagles Challenge Cup and its U10 team finished second in the same tournament.
