CRFA lauds young Cebuano ref’s achievement in PFF U16 national championships

THE Cebu Regional Football Association is celebrating a milestone for one of its young referee, who served as the center during the finals of the inaugural PFF U16 national boys championship in Bago City.

MILESTONE. Jasper Gerarman of Cebu served as the center ref in the championship match between NCRFA and Iloilo-Guimaras RFA.

Jasper Gerarman, one of the promising young referees the CRFA has produced through its series of referee seminars over the years, officiated the final between the National Capital Region Football Association and Iloilo-Guimaras RFA.

“Cebu isn’t just producing talented players, we are also producing referees who carry the same passion and love for the game,” the CRFA said in a statement on its official Facebook page.

Aside from Gerarman, Cebu referees Jan Michael Angelo Oliveros and Benedict Ross Tabar were also part of the pool of officials during the national tournament.

“Jasper’s achievement is proof that Cebu is committed to elevating Philippine football, one match at a time,” the CRFA said.

The CRFA, led by president Rodney Orale, is on an aggressive push to produce more young referees through a series of identification programs and seminars.
