The Central Visayas Regional Football Association (CVRFA) lauded its referees for conducting regular educational discussions and refresher sessions aimed at deepening their understanding of the Laws of the Game.

According to the CVRFA Referees Committee, Cebu-based match officials remain committed to continuous learning and professional development by actively participating in seminars, discussions, and review sessions designed to keep them updated on the latest amendments and interpretations of football rules.
The learning activities provide referees with opportunities to clarify rule applications, review recent updates, exchange experiences from matches, and strengthen their decision-making abilities during games.
“Their dedication to continuous learning reflects an unwavering commitment to the game they truly love, despite how demanding the job can be. They face pressure from all sides, make split-second decisions, and still show up every single time with professionalism and integrity. That kind of dedication doesn’t come from obligation. It comes from passion,” the CVFA said in a statement.
The CVRFA Referees Committee said the initiative reflects its commitment to developing competent, credible, and well-prepared match officials capable of upholding the integrity of football at all levels of competition.
By investing in the continuous education of referees, the association seeks to ensure that football matches in Central Visayas are conducted fairly and professionally, benefiting players, coaches, clubs, and supporters alike.
The regular training and refresher sessions form part of the committee’s broader efforts to raise officiating standards and support the development of football throughout the region.
