AFTER winning the bowler of the month title for July, Egdgar Marshall Alqueza made it two in a row after topping the Sugbuanon Bowlers United Doubles Event with Arthur Tapaya on Aug. 4, 2024 at the SM Seaside Bowling Center.
Alqueza and Tapaya, won three of the four rounds after scoring 464 in Games 1 and 3 and 406 in Game 4. The two scored 331 in Game 2 to finish with 1,665, more than a hundred ahead of second placers Uwe Schulze and Cedric Luckenwald.
MJ Villa and Rommel Calipay, who scored and second best 428 in Round 1, got third place with 1,537, while Vivian Padawan and John Galino finished fourth with 1,529.
The rest of the top 10 bowlers are Aui Padawan and Jomar Jumapao (1,509), Johna Calipay and Robert Sarvida (1,480), Rene Ceniza and Rey Velarde (1,479), Tessie and Dodong Dante (1,460), Manny Bueno and Nestor Ranido (1,453), and Roy Esolana and Luke Bolongan (1,453.)
Aside from winning the title, Alqueza and Tapaya also won three of the four rounds; They took Game 1 with 464, with Michael John Villa and Rommel Calipay at second with 428 and Game 3 also with 464, beating Schulze and Luckenwald (414.)
They also won Round 4 with 406, beating Padawan and Galindo, who tallied 401.
Meanwhile, Roy Esolana and Luke Bolongan tallied the best score in Round 2 with 399, just seven ahead of second placer Padawan and Galindo.
