THE Cebu International School will host the Friendship Cup 2026, bringing together young football talents for an exciting multi-day tournament on May 23, 30, and 31, 2026. Organized to promote grassroots football development, the event features a wide range of youth divisions, offering competitive opportunities for players as young as five years old.
The tournament will follow a variety of formats depending on age group, ensuring age-appropriate gameplay and development. The youngest categories, U5 (2021 and younger) and U6 (2020 and younger), will compete in a 5-a-side format on 1/8 fields, with matches lasting 12 minutes. Older divisions, from U7 to U14, will play 7-a-side games on quarter fields, with each match running 20 minutes. The U16 (2010 and younger) division will feature a full-field 11-a-side format, also with 20-minute matches.
Registration fees vary by division, with ₱3,000 per team for U5 and U6, ₱4,500 per team for U7 to U14, and ₱7,000 per team for U16. Game schedules are spread across the three dates, with most divisions alternating between May 30 and May 31, while the U16 matches will take place on May 23.
Organizers have announced that only a limited number of slots remain, encouraging teams to register as soon as possible. Clubs sending seven or more teams can avail of a ₱4,500 discount per team, although this offer does not apply to the U5 division.
