THE Cebu Regional Football Association will set the ground running in 2026 as it hopes to expand the growth of the sport in the region and to bring futsal to the barangay level.

“This year, CRFA will place strong emphasis on player and coach development. With the support of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF), we will conduct more Coaching and Referees Courses for both Football and Futsal to further improve the quality of our programs and officials,” CRFA president Rodney Orale said.
The CRFA conducted a series of seminars last year and also had an extensive three-day futsal seminar in Toledo City.
The seminar in Toledo City, held in partnership with the Aboitiz Cup, is something the CRFA wants to replicate this year with other local government units.

“We will also strengthen Futsal development at the barangay level through collaboration with Local Government Units, and work closely with Cebu Provincial officials to bring football programs to more localities across the province,” said Orale.
Meanwhile, the CRFA is reminding its members to pay their annual membership dues so they can continue joining CRFA-sanctioned events.
“All members are required to renew their registration to remain in good standing and to be eligible to participate in CRFA-sanctioned activities, competitions, and programs for the 2026-2027 season,” the CRFA posted in its official Facebook page.
