WITH A spot in the semifinal round already secured, Don Bosco Boys Home Liloan got on a scoring spree and blanked Cebu Football Club Academy, 9-0, in its final group stage match in the PFF U16 Qualifiers at the Dynamic Herb Stadium on Aug. 22, 2025.
DBBH topped Group B with seven points on two wins and a draw, while idle Don Bosco Technical College A is second with four points, on a win, a draw and a loss.
Juffrey Abrio and Akioh Ceejay Relator opened the onslaught as they alternated for DBBH in scoring five goals in the first half. Abrio completed a hat trick with goals in the 11th, 18th and 43rd minutes, while Relator scored in the 16th and 25th minutes.
There was no respite for CFC in the second half as Serge Angelo Dingding found the back of the net two minutes in and Jeshua Manuel Tadle made it 7-0 in the 51st.
After a 30-minute respite, John Lucas Taneo and Nyl Khyle Pilapil completed the rout with goals in the 80th and 85th minutes.
With the top spot in Group B secured, DBBH will now have to wait for the outcome of the final two matches in Group A–BAST vs DBTC B and USC vs ANS–to determine its opponent in the knockout round.
