Lapu-Lapu City Heroes make semis spot in 4th Lapu-Lapu City Football Fiesta Cup U8 division.

The Lapu-Lapu City Heroes Team A team made the semifinal round of the 4th Lapu-Lapu City Football Fiesta Cup at the Haven of Peace field on Nov. 22 and 23.

FINAL FOUR. The Lapu-Lapu City Heroes went undefeated in the group stage of the 4th Lapu-Lapu City Fiesta Cup.

The U8 team, made up of Zeke Abrasado, Spencer Sven Lomadilla, McJohnston Singh, Shawn Edward Haworth, Seth Daniel Gacrama, Shunta Miura, Michio Caelum Veloso, John Thyrone Sky Augusto, Daren Himaya, and Niko Evangelous Ibasco, went undefeated in the group stage, beating host Mahayahay FC, 1-0 and the Marigondon Kickers, 3-0, before earning a draw with Cebu United A, 1-1.

In the quarterfinal round, the Heroes blanked Legacy FC B, 1-0, to book a spot in the final four. However, they fell short in the semis to Makati FC, 5-1, with Lomadilla scoring the lone goal.

On the other hand, the U8 Team B of Alfredo Dizon III, Eyana Rhaine Brillo, David Gad Inso, Samantha Sassik, Paul Mavy Pajora, Chantelle Baclohan, Luis Miguel Obinque, Issah Skyler Pontes, Ric Mieleus Cornelio, and Roz Cedric Amores failed to get out of the group stage with two draws and two losses. The team had scoreless draws with STEC and Lo-ok FC, and twin 1-0 losses to UNA FC and Legacy FC Acacia.

The Lapu-Lapu City Heroes also fielded squads in the U12 and U16 categories with both falling short of a spot in the KO stage.

The U12 team of Nathan Ray Inday, Prince Emmanuel James Salazar, Zacc Roshan Lomadilla, Ron Anthony Bales, Toa Hoshino, Rua Hoshino, Denver Himaya, Wil Jacob Rom, Nicolo Eidann Cuizon, and Ayrton Arcenas had a good start with a 1-0 win over the Young Aspirants but suffered back-to-back 1-0 losses to Sports Gen International and Makati FC.

On the other hand, the U16 team of Xedi Sanchez, Justin Carl Orillano, Obama Cabuena, Xhyrxish Jake Aguante, Justine Bregente, Kirby Clyde Bentain, Louise Dave Reman, Lance Sarzuelo, Christxander Von Emerenciana, and Ken Aidan Rubi failed to recover from a bad start despite going undefeated in their last three matches.

The Heroes lost to ADA Black, 2-0, and Cebu United 2-0, but earned two straight wins against MAB FC, 2-0, and Subangdako, 1-0, before closing their group stage match with a 0-0 draw with the Green Lions.
