The Thirsty Cup, the biggest football festival outside of Manila, returns for its 19th edition on March 28 to 30 at the Cebu City Sports Center. The 19th edition will have 232 teams spread over 13 divisions with the men’s division having the highest number of slots at 40.
The other divisions and the number of slots available are the Players 7 (16), Players 9 (20), Players 11 (20), Girls 15 (10), Girls 17 (10), Boys 13 (20), Boys 15 (20), Boys 17 (20), Boys 19 (20), Women’s Open (16), Mixed Open (10), and the 40-above (10).
Registration will start on Jan. 27 with the early bird fee for the men’s, women’s and mixed open and 40-above at P4,000, while the early bird fee for the age group divisions is at P3,300.
“We are so excited again to bring back the thirsty cup now on its 19th year..The longest running, one of the biggest football tournaments in the country..to be able to sustain this has been a challenge to us and we are excited with the response by the thousands of participants,” said Bunny Pages.
On the other hand, John Pages is encouraging teams to sign up as early as possible as registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meanwhile, John also said they will also be exploring Thirsty Cups in other sports this year, particularly basketball and the growing sport of pickleball.
The Thirsty Cup, the first to adopt the festival format in Cebu City, has had an upward growth over the years and has become a staple of the football calendar of local teams.
