NOLI Valencia and Roger Asumbrado banked on a solid start to win the Sugbuanon Bowlers United (Sugbu) doubles event on July 21, 2024 at the SM Seaside Bowling Center.
Valencia and Asumbrado finished with 1596, thanks to their first round score of 472, while Manny Bueno and Nestor Ranido got second place just nine pins behind at 1587.
Egay Alqueza and Arthur Tapaya had 1,536 good for third place, 16 pins ahead of fourth placer Ted Convocar and Lemuel Paquibot.
The rest of the top 10 pairs are Tessie and Dodong Dante (1,485), Celis Vioria and David Pena (1,479), Uwe Schulze and Cedric Luckenwald (1,442), Maeng Viloria and Heber Alqueza (1,439), JM and Michael Yu (1,417.)
Valencia, the former administrator of Gov. Gwen Garcia, scored 245 in the first round, while Asumbrado had 245 for the best score. Ted Convocar and Lemuel Paquibot was a distant second at 390.
In Game 2, Schulze (221) and Luckenwald (184) tallied the best score at 405, just one ahead of Bueno and and Ranido, while in Round 3, Alqueza (164) and Tapaya (243) had the best score at 407 with Tessie and Dodong Dante at second at 390.
In the last round, Bueno and Ranido finally finished first at 422, while Alqueza and Tapaya got second at 403.
