Ronbucz leaned on the monstery game of Khian Zyren Panerio to rout CHBC Passerelle, 109-47, for its second win in the CYBL U16 Summer Showcase at the Sawang Calero Gym on May 30.
Panerio made all his nine shots, including a three-pointer to finish with 19 points in just 18 minutes of action. He also had 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Ronbucz has such a balanced attack that five other playres finished in double digits. Kent Clark Castro had 16, Kenneth Cole had 11, while Brent Darios Bihag, Benedict Paca and Marvin Ravelo had 10 each.
Henry Suico was the lone Passerelle player to finish in double digits with 10, but he did it on a 5-of-11 clip.
At 2-0, Ronbucz has the lead and is the only undefeated team in the division. It will go for win No. 3 with bottom team GotShot, which suffered its second loss to A1, 101-71. A1 leaned on Andrei Miguel Tapia and Dumago, who had 14, each for their easy win.
In the CYBL Tayud division, One-on-One C and Kayud Tayud scored two easy wins over the weekend. One-On-One C, routed sister team One-on-One A, 93-61 on May 28, then breezed past Batang Mandirigma, 90-49. Kayud Tayud outlasted GAA A, 50-36, before pounding One-on-One B, 105-57. Ronbucz 3 also defeated Batang Mandirigma, 70-55, while CLBA beat Ronbucz 2, 53-49 and Coach G dumped One-on-One B, 65-45. The Toledo CIty Hyenas also beat Sherilin-Unisol, 70-63, while Unisol got an easy win over One-on-One A, 103-54.
