CVFA to hold 1st President’s Cup on July 2 and 3

After a two-year break due to Covid, the Central Visayas Regional Football Association will finally have a tournament of its own when it stages the CVFA Presidents Cup on July 2 and 3 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

VERSION 1. CVFA president Rodney Orale (above) during the Fifa World Cup draw in Qatar. Orale and the CVFA will hold its first President’s Cup, Cebu’s first football tournament for locals since the Covid outbreak, on July 2 and 3 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The event, the first President’s Cup organized by the local FA, will have limited entries for its 12 categories–Mixed 9 and 11, Boys 13, 15, 17 and 19, Girls 17, Men’s 21, Open, 40-Above and 50-Above and the Ladies Open.

Registration fee for the Mix 9 up to the Boys 19 is P1,500 and P2,00 for the Men’s 21 and above. Those who want to sign up may contact Dave Intong (09196456586) or send an email at [email protected]. Aside from the registration fee, players also need to present their vaccination cards when signing up.

This is the first CVFA-organized tournament since February, 2020, when the local FA was forced to cancel the final games of the Aboitiz Cup due to the Covid 19 outbreak. Since then, the CVFA has helped staged the Palarong Pambansa football bubble tournament last month, also

at the CCSC, and it has also staged a couple of coaching seminars.
