In what is becoming a positive habit of late, the Central Visayas Football Association set another milestone after eight of its players made the Philippine U18 team that will see action in the Asean Football Federation U18 women’s championship on July 22 to Aug. 5, 2022 in Indonesia.
The players are Celina Beatrice Salazar, Maegan Andrea Alforque, Jodi Marie Banzon, Rae Mikella Tolentino, Kyza Stephen Colina, Mish Tzishe Castanares, Elisha Flor Maio Lubiano and Maria Andrea Evangelista.
“This is history for CVFA in terms of the number of players selected to represent our country, we have seven players from Cebu and one from Bohol,” said CVFA president Rodney Orale. “They will bring honor to our country and to theri families. They really deserve our snappy salute, the
pride of Cebu and Bohol.”
The Philippines will be in Group B together with Myanmar, Malaysia and Australia. They will first meet Australia on July 25, Myanmar on July 26 before closing their campaign against Malaysia on July 29.
