The Abellana National School stormed its way to the top of Group A after humbling the University of San Carlos-Basic Education Department, 4-0, in the domestic qualifiers for the Philippine Football Federation 16-Under tournament at the Dynamic Herb Football Stadium.

Going into the match, USC-BED was on top of the group with a perfect 2-0 record but that ended just eight minutes in after Nathaniel Pelino connected for the opener.
USC BED’s defense managed to hold on before Ayn Sebastian Quidlat made it a two-goal cushion just three minutes before the break.
In the second half, Pelino completed his brace in the 62nd minute, while Fritz Gerald Cabrera scored the final goal in the 70th.
With the win, ANS now sits comfortably at No. 1 with six points a goal difference of nine, five more than USC-BED.
ANS is now set to face Don Bosco Technical College A in the semis, while USC-BED will take on Group B No. 1 Don Bosco Liloan.
