Coach Seno leads Cubacub Theam Cargo Forwarding Services to back-to-back titles

THE Cubacub Theam Cargo Forwarding Services struck gold twice as it won two championships in a row–winning its first 16-Under title in the Mandaue Mayor’s Cup last June 19 and the Court General Summer League Season 2 last July 13, 2024.

CHAMPION. The team receives their trophy and cash prize from Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes.

In the Mandaue Mayor’s Cup, Cubacub Theam Cargo Forwarding Services went undefeated in nine games and had to play with only 13 players against a 15-man strong Paknaan, which also had a +4 edge due to Passerelle rules.

However, finals MVP Paolo Nunez was unfazed as he led Cubacub to its first title in the tournament in over 10 years.

FIRST IN 10 YEARS. Cubacub’s triumph in the 16-under title was its first in 10 years across all categories in the Mandaue Mayor’s Cup.

In the Court General Summer League Season, a tournament organized by Jax Bautista of MCBL, Jacob Cortes was crowned the MVP.

Aside from Cortes and Nunez, the other members of the team are Charlie Daniel Shields, Vince Clyde Sibonga, Israh Luke Seno, Cris Carmelo Agbon, Kent Sollano, Ivan Rostata, Jeandy Miguel Payot, Zack Judilla, Japeth Lopez, Nelson Vega, Xerex Alejandro Saberon and Arnel Infante Jr.

The team is lead by head coach CJ Seno and assistant coaches Bruno Rohrer and Ryan Deladia.

TITLE NO. 2. Cubacub Theam Forwarding Services also ruled the 16-under division of the Court General Summer League Season 2.
