The Doce Pares family welcomed seven new Grandmasters–Elmer Mosqueda, Ashley Lee, Abet Cañete, Scott Slezak, Jose Marquez, Felix Roiles, and Antonio Oñas, Jr—to its fold while promoting GM Jose Eric Mosqueda to 10th grade blackbelt.
The formal installation was led by Doce Pares Supreme Grandmaster Arnulfo “Dong” Cuesta after their Grandmasters’ Seminar last July 23 at the Juban Garden Resort in Catmon town, north of Cebu.
The event was also the culminating activity of the 16th World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF) Championships staged last July 19-22 at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.
Cuesta assumed the post as head of Doce Pares after SGM Dionisio “Diony” Cañete, ODL (Order of Datu Lapu-Lapu) passed away on Aug. 23, 2021.
