Don Bosco Boys Home Liloan seeks reinforcements, support for U16 regionals

DON Bosco Boys Home (DBBH) Liloan is looking to beef up its squad as it faces the other champions from the Visayas in Group D of the Philippine Football Federation U16 tournament.

OFF TO THE REGIONAL MEET. After beating DBTC-A in the final, Don Bosco Boys Home Liloan will represent CRFA against other domestic champions in the Visayas elimination.

DBBH Liloan, which defeated Don Bosco Technical College via shootout to earn the right to represent Cebu Regional Football Association, will be facing Bohol, Eastern Visayas, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Panay FA in the regional meet.

“It was a victory for everyone in the football community here in Don Bosco Liloan. The boys are in high spirits after winning the championship but it’s back to normal after that. Mentally, we have to focus again and prepare because there are more challenging matches ahead,” said coach Marcelo Ouano.

Ouano said he is also planning to boost his squad by recruiting players from the other teams in the qualifiers.

“We need to boost our defense, midfield and wingers. We are planning to add five players from the other teams,” he said.

Ouano said he also hopes the team can have tune-up games before embarking on the regional eliminations, which will determine which team advances to the national finals.

However, aside from the challenges of improving the squad, coach Ouano also said they also have to deal with logistical and financial challenges in competing in the regional meet and hopes kind-hearted sponsors will step in.
