The Philippines took a 2-0 lead but failed to hold on as it settled to a 2-2 draw with Uzbekistan in their friendly at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Oct. 29, 2025.

Meryll Serrano connected with Chandler McDaniel just two minutes in to give the Filipinas an early lead, while Serrano doubled the lead 11 minutes after the half time break.
However, Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva salvaged a point for the guests in their GoTyme Bank sponsored match as she scored from a beautiful free kick in the 67th and pounced on an erratic clearance in the 78th minute for the final count.
The Filipinas were off a 10-day training camp and was using the match as part of their preparations for the Southeast Asian Games next month.
“Over the last six months, we’ve been trying to make the girls believe that any game is winnable, regardless of who we play against. We’re instilling a winning mentality and a focus that it doesn’t matter who the opponent is. We’re building on being a team that is strong in defense, but also very good on the counterattack,” Filipinas head coach Mark Torcaso said prior last night’s match.
