THE Soccer Moms and the U10 team of the Lapu-Lapu City Heroes Football Club brought home the silverware in the VP Visayas Eagles Challenge Cup at the Dynamic Herb Football Stadium on Aug. 23 to 25, 2025.

The Soccer Moms, represented by Leny Mae Cuizon, Mailyn Lozano, Leise Pauline Bacla-an, Aiza Labanza, Raquel Brillo, Daisy Gildo, Pia King, Nina Canencia, Bebelou Tumulak, Jeneza Nice Herbito, Rociel Regner, and Jenniebeth Borja, showed their dominance as they went through the group stage undefeated, beating Subangdaku, 1-0, 4GP, 1-0, and Canduman, 2-0.
In the semifinal round, they beat Subangdaku anew, 3-1, before eking out a close 1-0 win over 4GP in the final to win the crown.

Meanwhile, their U10 team posted their second straight runner-up finish after also bagging the silver in last week’s Legends Cup.
The squad, manned by Kyle Nakagawa, Mark Daniel Bacla-an, Spencer Sven Lomadilla, Mcjonston Singh, Devin Jasper Gildo, Rua Hoshino, Zane Jaius Herbito, Asriel Josh Heredia, Kenzo Vocal, Kenshen Vocal, Ziron Bert Padilla, and Macken Jabellana, finished second in its group on two wins and two draws.
They routed Don Bosco B, 9-0, and got past Don Bosco A, 1-0, and earned scoreless draws against Minglanilla FC and Sugbo Calidad.
In the quarterfinal round, they sent Don Bosco B home, 1-0, and posted a similar scoreline against Makati Blue in the semis.
In the finals, Mark Daniel Bacla-an got them into contention with a goal against Sugbu Calidad but after the match ended in a 1-1 draw, the Heroes lost, 2-1, via penalties.
Aside from the Soccer Moms and U10, the Lapu-Lapu City Heroes also joined the U12, U8, and U6 divisions.
The U12 team, with Devein Jasper Gildo, Ron Anthony Pales, Kyle Nakagawa, Asriel Josh Heredia, Zane Jaius Herbito, Zacc Roshan Lomadilla, Rua Hoshino, Toa Hoshino, Kenzo and Kenshen Vocal, Prince Emmanuel James Salazar, Nathan Ray Inday and Mcjohnston Singh, made it to the quarterfinals but got on the wrong end of a 6-0 rout by ADA. In the group stage, they beat Hanniyah, 1-0, and CFC, 2-0, but lost to Don Bosco, 1-0.

The U8 team, with Sing, Lomadilla, Daren Himaya, Seth Daniel Gacrama, Paul Mavy Pajora, John Thyron Sky Augusto, Shawn Edward Haworth, Eyana Rhaine Brilllo, and Alfredo Dizon, failed to get out of the group stage with a 2-2 record. The squad beat Don Bosc, 2-0, and Sugbu Calidad, 4-0, but lost to CFC white, 2-0, and Makati Blue, 2-0.

Meanwhile, their U6 squad, with Elijah Radleigh Aparece, Jasper Daniel Wu, Qianyi Wu, Elihan Jarell Cinco, Craig Adam Menguito, Trent Arthur Gala, and Brandon Xander Menguito, was also eliminated after posting a 1-2 record; they beat Don Bosco, 3-1, but lost to Legacy FC, 3-1, and CFC, 2-1.
In the U14, the team failed to advance to the group stage after losing to Lapu-Lapu C ity FC, 2-0, Sugbu Calidad, 6-0, and Don Bosco C and earning a draw against Don Bosco. The team members are Sean Cabiara, Nigel Desierto, Mark Eurey Singh, Gurman Sheetak, Andrew Bague, John Paul Singh, Kerge Pilapil, Karsten Dayrit, Lance Sarzuel, Yno Raphael Relon, Devin Jasper Gildo, and Zacc Roshan Lomadilla.

Aside from the parents, the Lapu-Lapu City Heroes FC was guided by coaches Lopito Tumulak Jr., John Dave Regner, Josh Austin, and Joseph Estremos.
