THE Lapu-Lapu City Heroes U10 team B made it to the quarterfinals of their category in the 4th Lapu-Lapu City Fiesta Cup last Nov. 22 and 23 at the Haven of Peace field in Mahayahay, Lapu-Lapu City.

The U10 squad, which features Devin Jasper Gildo, Scott Sucia, Kyle Nakagawa, Asriel Josh Heredia, Zane Jaius Herbito, McJohnston Singh, Spencer Sven Lomadilla, Mark Daniel Bacla-an, Ziron Bert Padilla, Kenzo Vocal, and Kenshen Vocal, had a two-win, 1-draw, and one-loss record in the group stage with wins over Carmen FC B, 3-0, and the Marigondon Kickers, 2-0. It drew Lo-ok FC, 1-1, while its lone loss was against Cebu United A, 1-0.
In the quarterfinal final, the Heroes faced the vaunted Makati FC Blue and lost a close match, 1-0, to bow out of contention.
Meanwhile, the club’s Team A in the U10 category started strong but back-to-back losses saw them falling short of a spot in the knockout stage.
The team of Kon Luke Lim, Rua Hoshino, Daren Himaya, John Raumar Nuñez, Karl Sassik, Jackson Lim, Daniel Lim, Denver Himaya, Azriel Rozuelo, Job Andrei Suello, and Craig Antoine Señagan, defeated Lapu-Lapu City A, 1-0, and the Marigondon Kickers, 1-0, but lost to Sugbu Calidad, 1-0, and the Bato Spartans, 4-0, in their final two matchces.
On the other hand, the U14 team of Mark Eurey Singh, John Paul Singh, Karsten Dayrit, Patrick San Lucmong, Gab Yap, Sean Cabiara , Wil Jacob Rom, Kerge Pilapil, Gurman Kumar Sheetak, Lance Sarzuelo, and Toa Hoshino posted a 1-2-1 record in the group stage, beating Mabes, 1-0, and losing to ADA White, 1-0, and Cebu United, 3-1. The team earned its lone draw against Sacred Heart Ateneo de Cebu, 0-0.
