SUGBUANON Bowlers United’s newest member Richard Turner stamped his class in Bacolod City after finishing second in the 4th Solina Tan Cup-Masters Event on Oct. 19, 2024.
Turner finished with 1,164 finishing just seven pins off champion Alan Ong, who tallied 1,171. Turner opened with a pair of 170s in the first two rounds before scoring 179 and a tournament best 238 in round 4. He had a decent 192 in the fifth round before closing out with a 125 to bag the second place trophy worth P7,000.
In the Open Division, Aui Padawan was the best finisher for SUGBU at eighth place with 1,061. Padawan opened with 184 but hit 151 and 131 in the next two rounds before recovering with a 224 in the fifth round,.
Lance Tan won the title with 1,269, beating Alyana Abelada (1,159) and Larnie Vencer (1,135.)
