ERCO Samareno will hold the fifth edition of its football cup with 20 categories to be played in two weekends at the Dynamic Herb Football Stadium.
The Players 4,6,8,10 and 12 divisions will be played on July 19, while the Mixed, Boys 20 and Men’s Inter-Company, professional and 40-above will be on July 20.
On July 26, it will be the turn of the BOys 14,16,18 and the Girls 16 and 18 divisions, while on the final day, the Girls 14, Men’s and Women’s Open, Men’s 50-above and Soccer Moms will take to the field.
“For the 14 years old and above categories, we will be using one third of the standard pitch, which is the perfect size for eight-a-side division. For the first time, the teams in a festival type will be playing in a bigger pitch,” said lead organizer Rodney Orale.
Orale also said that from the usual 12 minutes per match, teams will be playing 15 minutes per game.
Orale also thanked Engr. Keith Buyco of Elan Vita Diagnostic Solutions for supporting the tournament since its first edition and Mr. and Mrs. Resty Davantes of South King Tradings, who have supported their event for three straight years.
This year, Divine Lee and Blake Go, whose son is one of the most promising young players in Cebu, is also sponsoring the event through Prince Warehouse.
