Action in the Justice German G. Lee Jr. Memorial Football tournament resumes today with night games in the Men’s 40-Above, BPO, 50-Above and open divisions at the Dynamic Herb Football Stadium.
Makoto FC will try to boost its hold of the top spot in the 40-Above division as it takes on the Queen City United, while Erco Bro will shoot for the No. 1 spot as it faces winless Don Bosco. Makoto leads the group with four points, while Erco and Queen City have two points. A win by the latter two teams, will see them leapfrog Makoto for the top two spots.
In the Men’s BPO, leader Knowles FC will gun for a sweep against third-ranked JPMC FC, while Accenture shoots for its second win against winless Concentrix. Knowles leads the group after winning its first two games, while Accenture is second with a one loss, one draw record.
In the Men’s Open division, Group B leader Fatboyz FC will face DB Magone, while No. 2 D’Pioneers take on Alcoy. Fatboyz and D’Pioneers have five points each and are separated by only one goal, making today’s matches crucial in determining the leaders.

In the 50-Above division, Erco will face ANS United and Don Bosco United, while San Roque will play Don Bosco United and Queen City.
The Lee Memorial, sponsored by Abraham Lee, is the latest tournament in Cebu’s football calendar and this early, is poised to become a popular event.
“The CVFA is very thankful to Engr. Lee for sponsoring this event, which will become the perfect end to our football calendar before we take the Christmas break,” said CVFA president Rodney Orale.
Meanwhile, the early favorites have taken the lead in the youth divisions after the last weekend’s round of matches.
Giuseppe and Lapu-Lapu have 10 points each in the U7 division, with Giuseppe leading by three goals. In the U9 group, DBTC A, Giuseppe FC and CFC Academy all have six points with DBTC at no. 1 with an impressive 17 goals in two matches. Gisueppe is six goals behind at second, while CFC is a further 13 goals behind at No. 3.
In the U15, Giuseppe is also on top with a 2-1 mark for seven points, three ahead of BAST, while in the U11, DBTC A is at No. 1 with seven points, one ahead of Sheba FC, which has a game at hand.
