After an impressive debut with a second-place finish in his debut in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy last month, Cebuano karter William John Riley Go set another benchmark by becoming the first Filipino karter to earn points in the CIK FIA Karting European Championship.
Go, now driving for Forza Racing, finished the 21-lap race at 13th place out of 35 racers to earn three points, his first points finish in six races of the prestigious category that has 75 of the best young racers of the world.
I am humbled and honored to be the first Filipino to gain points in the FIA European Championships. It was definitely challenging, considering that it is one of the most sought after championships worldwide.
