Anton del Rosario, the veteran and former Azkal captain has thrown the Philippine Football Federation under the bus. In a comment, he basically accused the PFF and the Philippine Sports Commission of corruption and money laundering.

He didn’t cite any source, he just posted what he heard.
Here’s something I noticed when John Gutierrez took over the PFF presidency, there’s a semi coordinated against him. Why do I think it’s a semi coordinated attack? Whispers influence articles or social media posts.
Where were these whispers before?
But it’s good though that Anton del Rosario raised this. It’s a chance for the current PFF to lay it all on the table.
Show everything. It is transparency Anton and the fans want, it should be transparency we should get.
How much is the Philippine Sports Commission spending for the hosting of the Fifa Futsal World Cup and where is it spent? Anton speaks of millions, naturally we’d like to know. Because the way he framed his accusation, moving the money in shell companies, that’s collusion between the PFF and the PSC.
Tsk. tsk.
Speaking of PFF funds being coursed through shell companies, the PFF should now lay bare every previous transaction, liabilities coursed through the Azkals Foundation.
It should also lay bare the millions it had to pay to coaches who sued the PFF in the Committee for Arbitration in Sports and won. Don’t you think it strange that those who are very noisy against the PFF admin are very silent about that simple fact? Not a single story was written about this.
The PFF should also publicize every IOU, liabilities or what not accrued by the Azkals Foundation or, as Anton put it, a shell company.
Why no article, comments, or outbursts like Anton about that? Coordinated silence? Last I checked, we wasted P32 million because we lost one case in CAS. ONE!
Yes, it’s good that Anton is questioning how the PFF is spending its money.
But let’s not limit the question to the John Gutierrez presidency, let’s ask it too to the heydays of Philippine football, when sponsorship money and TV rights poured in.
Let’s put everything under the microscope, anything less is a disservice to fans who want transparency.
One other thing about Anton’s outburst. There’s no love lost between Anton and Cebu and it was tactless of him to compare what he thought of the PFF’s mishandling of funds to flood control.
People died in Cebu Anton. People suffered and are suffering, including the Cebu football community. Don’t use them or us as a punch line. Have the balls to back your accusations with evidence.
