The Philippines Under-17 Women’s National Football Team remains unbeaten heading into the final match day of the 2026 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers (Group A) in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, collecting six points from back-to-back victories against Tajikistan and Syria this week—without conceding a single goal.

On Wednesday, the Young Filipinas blanked host nation Tajikistan, 2–0, as Louraine Evangelista notched her second goal of the qualifiers and Davaoeña standout Jilliana Dagpin marked her first-ever international goal.
Evangelista, a product of the Tuloy program, opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a well-struck effort from outside the box on a swift attacking run. Despite Tajikistan’s physical and compact defense, the Filipinas persisted until stoppage time, when Dagpin—developed by the Davao South Regional Football Association and Makati Football Club—capped off the match with a confident finish off a Kaida Mizzo through pass in the 90+5 minute.
That win came after the Filipinas’ commanding 5–0 rout of Syria last Monday, signaling their intent for a second consecutive AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup appearance.
Ari Enderes led the charge with a brace, displaying sharp attacking instincts and composure in front of goal. Enderes opened the scoring in the 4th minute, finishing off a counterattack initiated by Evangelista and set up by Chiara Mizzo’s pinpoint cross. She doubled the lead just before halftime, slotting home from a Yurika Valdevieso assist in the 44th minute.
“We felt that if we scored early, we could impose our style and control the game,” said head coach Pradhyum Reddy.
The Young Filipinas continued their attacking momentum after halftime, with Kaida Mizzo and Evangelista both firing in long-range strikes in the 50th and 52nd minutes. Beach Hut FC’s Sofhia Muros sealed the dominant performance, tapping in the fifth goal in the 73rd minute off another precise delivery from Chiara Mizzo.
“I think the good thing is that once we got the third goal, we could rotate and bring in fresh legs,” said Reddy. “That’s important when you’re playing again in just 48 hours.”
With two shut-out victories, the Philippines will go for win No. 3 against fellow unbeaten side Malaysia on Friday, with the lone Asian Cup qualification ticket at stake.
Both ASEAN squads have six points apiece, but the Young Filipinas hold the advantage with a superior goal difference of +4 over Malaysia.
